St Ives has long been one of Cornwall’s most celebrated seaside destinations, prized for its golden beaches, working harbour, winding lanes and distinctive creative heritage. Set on the Cornish coast and easily reached by rail via the famously scenic branch line from St Erth, it combines old fishing-town character with a relaxed holiday atmosphere that has drawn visitors for generations.
This artwork captures St Ives from an elevated viewpoint, with clustered rooftops, harbour waters and church towers arranged in a bold, simplified composition that feels both nostalgic and expressive. Its stylised forms, flattened perspective and emphasis on colour and shape pay homage to the naive visual language of artists connected to the St Ives School, giving the scene a charming, painterly character while preserving the town’s unmistakable identity.

Choose Your Finish
For a contemporary look, choose our Modern finish, produced on 230gsm smooth matte paper for crisp detail and refined colour.
For a classic look, choose our Vintage finish, carefully aged and printed on a traditionally made 310gsm matte etching paper from German paper experts Hahnemühle. Its subtle texture enhances depth and lends the artwork the presence of an original railway poster.
Both are available in six frame options.
