About this print
Dartmoor is one of England’s most elemental landscapes — a high moor of granite, open sky and far-reaching views, where weather and light shape the land from hour to hour. Its tors, ridgelines and rough pasture create a sense of scale and exposure that feels both ancient and profoundly restorative, with the western moor offering some of the most dramatic elevated outlooks in Devon.
This composition centres on Brent Tor, where the small church of St Michael de Rupe stands silhouetted atop the steep, green rise like a solitary landmark above the moor. The winding path and scattered rock in the foreground draw the eye upward through textured grasses to the dark tower, while the broad horizon beyond opens into soft, muted distance. The print captures Dartmoor in a deeply romantic register — wild, windswept and quietly monumental — with the hilltop church lending the scene both mystery and resolve.

Choose Your Finish
For a contemporary look, choose our Modern finish, produced on 230gsm smooth matte paper for crisp detail and refined colour.
For a classic look, choose our Vintage finish, carefully aged and printed on a traditionally made 310gsm matte etching paper from German paper experts Hahnemühle. Its subtle texture enhances depth and lends the artwork the presence of an original railway poster.
Both are available in six frame options.
