About this print
Lake Windermere is the largest natural lake in England and one of the best-known destinations in the Lake District, celebrated for its changing light, wooded shores and broad mountain-framed views. In autumn, the area becomes especially striking as the surrounding fells and woodland turn through gold, copper and red, giving the landscape a rich seasonal character that has long drawn visitors arriving by rail into the South Lakes.
The artwork presents Lake Windermere in peak autumn colour, with a high vantage looking over the water as it curves between dark fells and distant hills. A vivid foreground of red and rust-toned vegetation sets a dramatic seasonal frame, while the lake’s pale surface and layered blue-grey mountains add depth and calm. The contrast between the warm autumn palette and the expansive sky gives the image a luminous, panoramic feel that strongly emphasises the season named in the poster text.

Choose Your Finish
For a contemporary look, choose our Modern finish, produced on 230gsm smooth matte paper for crisp detail and refined colour.
For a classic look, choose our Vintage finish, carefully aged and printed on a traditionally made 310gsm matte etching paper from German paper experts Hahnemühle. Its subtle texture enhances depth and lends the artwork the presence of an original railway poster.
Both are available in six frame options.
